According to our Terms and Conditions mentioned by EASTLINES and undertaken by all our clients:
18. The sender (or associate receiver, if he launches the order) categorically undertakes responsibility for the packaging, protection, labelling and accuracy of the supplied details regarding his consignment: the type of consignment (envelope, parcel, pallet), the exact number of parcels, actual weight in kilograms, exact dimensions in centimetres, complete names, addresses and complete contact details of the involved parties (sender and receiver).
19. EASTLINES – parcel delivery service is completely exonerated by any responsibility regarding the cases mentioned at article 18 and because of which the following situations occur:
a. the order cannot be completed or registers delays on delivery because of the incorrect details given when launching the order, the incorrect names, addresses or telephone numbers.
b. the consignment or its components (envelops, parcels, pallets) are lost or deteriorated during delivery at EASTLINES or its subcontractors because the actual number of parcels has not been declared, the weight, dimensions and content restrictions have not been observed.
c. the consignment or its components (envelops, parcels, pallets) are lost or deteriorated during delivery at EASTLINES or its subcontractors because of unsatisfying packaging and noncomplying with the specifications posted by EASTLINES on the specific webpage of this website, because of the inadequate sealing, because there is no marking regarding the fragile products or because of the unsatisfying labelling and which does not observe the instructions of EASTLINES.
The sender is completely responsible for the corresponding wrapping of the consignments, the best protection of the fragile products, complete sealing and labelling of all parcels.
We cannot take into consideration claims and we will not offer compensations for any damages occurred because of the faulty and obviously non-corresponding packaging, because the fragile products have not been well protected and the parcels have not been marked with visible marking regarding the frailty of the contents.

LONDON INSIDE M25
There are no restrictions regarding the weight and dimensions at the consignments from London. We can pick-up from your door or through DROP OFF any parcels, in any quantities or dimensions, from envelops with documents up to electronics, furniture, stoves, sofas, mopeds and motorcycles (up to 150 kg weight) without any additional costs, at the standard price. We have discounts at large quantities. The more you send the cheapest the price on kilogram is.
Ensure that all parcels are ready-packaged and labelled before the pick-up time. In case of new, valuable, electronic objects, add in an envelope glued to the parcel a copy of the purchase receipt.

MAINLAND OUTSIDE M25, SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS, NORTHERN IRELAND, CHANNEL ISLANDS
The standard parcels must not exceed 30 kg each and the sum of the sides all together (length + width + height) must not exceed 180 cm.
The entire pick-up and delivery procedure in done by our service through subcontractors (DPD, CITY LINK, DHL, UPS, PARCEL FORCE, TNT) so that you – our client – only have to be home with the parcel ready-packaged at the pick-up time.
Try to weight and measure the parcels as exactly as you can before launching an order. All inconsistencies regarding the weight and dimensions (more exactly the volumetric weight) between what you have declared in the online form and what EASTLINES operators find, by weighting and measuring at the warehouse in London, will lead to additional costs that have to be paid at delivery, possible delays or the parcels to be held until the difference has been settled.

In case you pack in suitcases or shoulder bags you will have to wrap them in plastic foil or seal them very well all around with adhesive tape, in order to create a solid support for the label with the receiver’s details (in this case the address of our company, the warehouse in London). We do not take responsibility for losses occurred while the parcels were at our subcontractors due to faulty packaging, sealing and labelling. In this case the responsibility belongs solely to the sender.
The label on each parcel collected from outside London must be very well stuck to the parcel and must contain the following text written visibly with capital letters:

Do not write the address of the receiver in Romania, by no means, as this can lead to incorrect routing or even the loss of your parcels at our subcontractors, because the delivery address on the parcels is Romania and not our warehouse in London. The label with the address in Romania will be applied at the EASTLINES warehouse by our personnel at the reception of your parcels.
In order to prepare yourselves for the collection, please check if the doorbell is working or if you can hear when someone is knocking at the door. For any eventuality you can let a note at the entrance for the courier specifying that you are at home and the ways he can get in touch with you (in English).
Please keep in mind that for rebooking, in case the initial collection has failed because of the sender, you will have to pay an additional tax of £10.00 (per parcel).
When sending from Romania the senders must observe some special instructions and obligations:
o CONTENT RESTRICTIONS
We do not accept, under any circumstances the transport of cigarettes and related tobacco products, alcoholic beverages of any kind (plum brandy, liquor, beer and other alcoholic beverages, including those produced by you), and of perishable food products as for these kind of products the custom and public health terms impose the transport and storage in refrigerating units and sanitary-veterinarian authorization of the transportation means. The client accepts and agrees to the procedure imposed by EASTLINES for checking the restrictions by opening the parcels and inspecting the content. The client also accepts and agrees to the return of the entire consignment in case one of the parcels does not observe the packaging or content restrictions. The return will be paid in RON at delivery for the entire round-trip from the sender to the warehouse in Bucharest.

o PACKAGING RESTRICTIONS
We only accept simple cardboard boxes, sealed with tape, no foil, paper or cord. Civilized courier services, especially for international shipments, are done in cardboard boxes, as these can be opened more easily and resealed with adhesive tape. For special collections, in case the parcel cannot be packed in cardboard box, it can be protected through bubble wrap or plastic foil and it must be very well sealed. WE DO NOT ACCEPT SUITCASES, HAND BAGS, SHOULDER BAGS, RAFFIA BAGS OR PLASTIC BAGS AS PACKAGING MEANS.
The clients who launch pick-up orders from Romania with delivery in Great Britain take note of, agree and undertake to observe the packaging and content restrictions stipulated by the terms and conditions of EASTLINES and by the very strict customs legislation and regulations, the legislation regarding the international transit of merchandise within the UE countries, of customs taxes and duties and of sanitary-veterinarian and public health valid regulations.
DO NOT hand parcels with destination Great Britain to the couriers who deliver in Romania the parcels you receive from Great Britain. The pick-up orders from Romania are launched separately, online on our website, so that you can accept and agree to the terms and conditions of our service, packaging ways, labelling and content restrictions.
Do not send parcels from Romania without launching an online order and ensure that our operators have processed your order.
Parcels sent like this, even if accidentally these parcels will be picked up by our local couriers (couriers from URGENT CURIER), will be sent back from our main office to the pick-up address, with round-trip payment at delivery.
FORGET ABOUT RAFFIA BAGS!
EASTLINES –civilized and professional courier service- encourages every day its clients to forget about the “traditional” raffia bags for their international consignments. Besides the uncivilized aspect and more characteristics to the third world countries, the raffia bags are completely non-corresponding for transport and handling through an international modern courier service. The raffia bags do not offer protection to the content, especially if the content is fragile, they break at the seams, at the zippers, their handles break, they are hard to handle and cannot be stacked, especially when they are also very heavy.
IF YOU MUST USE RAFFIA BAGS OR HAND BAGS, ONLY USE THEM FOR SENDING CLOTHES OR SHOES!
Do not send fragile products, sweets, cosmetics, plastic toys and products that can be damaged or deformed in raffia bags. The raffia bags flatten and the content can even be lost, the sweets can be crushed, the products can be damaged, deformed or broken and the fragile products will definitely not be protected.
DO NOT INCLUDE MORE THAN 30 KG IN SHOULDER OR RAFFIA BAGS!
It is not in your best interest to place all of the contents in a single large raffia bag or in a shoulder bag. Invoicing will NOT be made per bag, but per kilogram and it does not matter how many parcels you have in a consignment. The very heavy bags are difficult to handle, both by couriers and in the warehouses at loading/unloading.
DO NOT MAKE ANY SAVINGS AT PACKAGING AND SEALING!
Many clients of the parcel delivery or courier services, although send expensive, fragile products (computers, monitors, laptops, LCDs, etc.) try to reduce expenses by not ensuring solid packaging means for an international consignment. Of course, this is a miscalculation, as the precarious packaging can lead to damages, so savings in these circumstances can only lead to losses.
WRAP WELL IN STRETCH FOIL AND SEAL ALL AROUND WITH ADHESIVE TAPE!
If you must send you parcels in shoulder, hand or raffia bags, we recommend that you wrap them as well as you can in stretch foil and seal all around with adhesive tape, ensuring that all zippers and external pockets are closed and sealed. The external foil protects the textile material against damages or soiling and ensures a better surface for gluing the labels with the detail of the receiver and other consignment identification elements.
